Full description

This series contains copies of the outwards correspondence of the Probate Office of the Supreme Court, some being signed by the Master in Equity and others by other officers. Correspondence is to do with the administration of deceased estates and the oversight of this by the Master in Equity. Subjects of correspondence include responses to enquiries regarding the granting of probate for particular estates, responses to requests for copies of wills and other documents, matters to do with the inventories of estates and statements of accounts, matters to do with administration bonds (see VPRS 870 Administration Bonds) and responses by the Master to proposals regarding the procedures of the office and the administration of deceased estates.
