Correspondence is mainly to do with the administration of deceased estates, responses to requests for copies of documents, to queries regarding the payment of interest on money held in trust by the Master, and in relation to payments made pursuant to court orders.VPRS 10011/P was reserialised in 2001 as part of the ARAD Project. Full description

The Master in Equity was responsible for the administration of the Supreme Court in Equity as well as holding various other positions. In 1883 under the Judicature Act the position of Prothonotary of the Supreme Court (VA 433) was established to relieve the Master in Equity of the administration of matters not related to Equity. The Prothonotary later assumed responsibility for the Equity functions of the Master in Equity.

This series consists of copies of letters sent by the Master in Equity. Correspondence is mainly to do with the administration of deceased estates, responses to requests for copies of documents, to queries regarding the payment of interest on money held in trust by the Master, and in relation to payments made pursuant to court orders.
