Brief description

The principal objectives of the voyage were to commission RSV Nuyina’s acoustic science systems/instruments and some of the aft science deck and gear-deployment systems. The ship sailed off the southern Tasmanian coast to conduct a range of tests to calibrate and commission instruments such as the EK80 hull calibration, Forward Outboard Deployment System (FODS), Continuous Plankton Recorder (CPR), EM122 Patch and Reference Test, EM712 Patch and Reference Test and the ADCP OS150. Please refer to the elog and voyage report for further details. The data is organised based on the R2R file directory structure with the system/instrument as the top level directory followed by folders for the raw data (raw), where it is relevant processed data (proc) and any relevant documentation (doc).

Statement: All uncontaminated water data should be interpreted with reference to the water flow data. A cessation in flow occurs during the daily cleaning cycle (typically from 0100UTC until 0130UTC). The Long wave Pyrgeometer (CGR3) on the starboard was out of commission for the duration of the voyage. As was the All sky imager. As this was a commissioning voyage, many instruments were turned on and off for testing purposes only.
