Victorian liquor licences split by licence type

Brief description

This dataset contains a comprehensive register of all active liquor licences across Victoria, provided by [Liquor Control Victoria](https://www.vic.gov.au/liquor-control-victoria). It includes 14 different licence categories ranging from restaurants and cafes to producers' licences and remote sellers, representing the full spectrum of regulated liquor premises operating under the [Liquor Control Reform Act 1998](https://www.legislation.vic.gov.au/in-force/acts/liquor-control-reform-act-1998).



The dataset includes detailed information on each licensed premises: licensee and business names, trading hours classifications, operational address, suburb, postcode, maximum patron capacity, mailing address, and administrative classifications including local council area (81 councils) and Liquor Control Victoria region (11 regions). Premises have also been geo-coded with latitude and longitude coordinates, enabling spatial mapping and geographic analysis.



The dataset represents a point-in-time snapshot and is updated monthly.
