Brief description

Commencing in 2007/2008, the Alpine Resorts Co-ordinating Council and the Alpine Resort Management Boards have conducted a consistent survey of summer vehicles. Commencing in 2008/2009, to better estimate visitation, the vehicle surveys were supplemented by surveys of vehicle occupancy. The surveys cover the period from the weekend preceding Melbourne Cup Day until the weekend including or following Anzac Day.

At the end of the summer season, following analysis of the survey returns, Council produces the annually-published Summer Visitation Survey Report.
