Brief description
The Victoria University Archives collects, preserves and makes available records relating to Victoria University and its predecessor institutions. The collection dates back to 1915 and the establishment of the Footscray Technical School. The archives holds records relating to Footscray Technical School, Footscray Technical College, Footscray Institute of Technology, Footscray College of TAFE, Newport College of TAFE, Melbourne School of Hairdressing, School of Painting, Decorating and Sign Crafts, Melbourne Technical College of Hairdressing, Melbourne College of Decoration, Flagstaff College of TAFE, Gellibrand College of TAFE, Western Metropolitan College of TAFE, Western Melbourne Institute of TAFE, Western Institute and Victoria University of Technology / Victoria University.
