Brief description RDSI is a federally funded project, for which the University of Queensland is the lead agent. It is an initiative of the Department of Industry, Innovation, Climate Change, Science, Research and Tertiary Education, is funded from the Education Investment Fund under the Super Science (Future Industries) initiative. Vicnode has been estblished by the University of Melbourne and Monash Univeristy to provide storage infrastructure on behalf of the Victorian Universities. A researcher can request to fund the storage of their collection if it is of value to collaborators and other research activities in Victoria and beyond. Any collection that meets the selection criteria, if allowed by copyright, ethics and other legal constraints can be hosted. Anything goes, from crystallographic datasets and genomics repositories, through to video archives, digitised historical texts and recordings of lost languages.
