Vicmap Transport - Road Infrastructure and Paper Road Infrastructure Point

Brief description

This layer is a superset of the Vicmap Transport TR_ROAD_INFRASTRUCTURE dataset.

TR_ROAD_INFRASTRUCTURE delineates road infrastructure features including bridges, tunnels, gates, cattle grids, barrirers, level crossings, roundabouts and intersections. In addition, this dataset includes paper road nodes (feature_type_code = 'paper_node').

Paper roads exist only on paper, such as a plan of subdivision, and are unlikely to be ever built due to planning restrictions. However, some councils hold addresses and property information against these paper roads.

Paper nodes have been created to conform with the Vicmap Transport business rules and are of no interest to almost all customers.

Most users needs will be met by the TR_ROAD_INFRASTRUCTURE dataset.
