Walked transects and topographic maps were used to delineate vegetation boundaries. The author correlated map units to vegetation communities described in the original Winburndale NR vegetation report (ERM Mitchell McCotter 1996) and allocated them to NSW Vegetation Classes and Formations (Keith 2004) for fire management purposes. Hardcopy maps were digitsed in the Dubbo NPWS Western Branch office.
