This data was collected by Kelsey Halbert and Theresa Petray as part of a 2011-12 research project on student engagement and online activism amongst students enrolled in subjects offered in the Faculty of Arts, Education and Social Sciences. After visiting key classes to explain the project, an online questionnaire was emailed to students. The questionnaire included questions on students' level of involvement in political, recreational, cultural and interest-based activities in high school and in university, the extent to which they are concerned with social and political issues, and how much they feel they have learned about social and political issues in their degrees.
