Brief description Brainoids are three-dimensional clusters of neurons derived from stem cells. Their ability to mimic the developing brain offers us new opportunities to understand disease. This project aims to use brainoids to investigate the causes of hereditary spastic paraplegia and epilepsy, two neurological disorders where gaps in our knowledge still remain. By integrating brainoid and genome editing technology, this research will provide new data about the disease mechanisms underlying these two disorders.
