Brief description The goal of my research is to understand how the genome is deregulated in cancer cells by delving into how DNA is organised in 3 dimensional (3D) space within the nucleus. In cancer cells, DNA can be altered epigenetically and these modifications, including chromatin structure, can cause permanent changes to gene expression. Here I will focus first on understanding how the 3D epigenome in cancer is altered and second, addressing how we can reverse these alterations using epigenetic therapies.
