This project will have as a final output each identified coherent eddies from the AVISO+ dataset. The full analysed dataset will produce an estimate of 100 Gb of raw output. We will analyse the Sea Surface Height using the TrackEddy algorithm, which identifies eddies based on their geometrical structure and represents them as Gaussians through an optimal Gaussian fitting. With this output, the end-user could reconstruct the coherent eddy-like field for the full satellite altimetry period. Based on the above estimates, this project will need 100 Gb of archive storage. Data corresponds to the output of the TrackEddy algorithm which identifies, tracks and reconstructs the Gaussian perturbation of each coherent eddy-like feature in the ocean. The output will be compressed as groups in a netCDF file. The estimated size is ~100gb for the globe obtained from satellite observations (AVISO+).
