The new information collated in this project has been incorporated into metadata records describing the individual AFMA funded projects. They link to the published reports, datasets and further information where available. The Torres Strait Research Repository (AFMA Project 2013/0015) was commissioned in April 2013, by the Torres Strait Scientific Advisory Committee (TSSAC) and the Australian Fisheries Management Authority Torres Strait (AFMA TS). The aim was to capture metadata, reports and, where available, any data that was produced by projects funded by the AFMA TS since 2006. This follows on from the previous CRC Torres Data and Information Repository that was commissioned in June 2006, to capture publications and data produced by the Torres Strait CRC research program.

This project was developed in direct response to a request from TSSAC and AFMA TS, regarding the issue of continuation of data archiving and management of information from AFMA funded TS projects.

The objective was to update the existing 2006 repository which had been established and populated with publications and data received from past CRC Torres Strait Task Leaders. A summary of all AFMA Torres Strait projects funded since 2006 was produced.

The new information collated in this project has been incorporated into metadata records describing the individual AFMA funded projects.
