The methodological approach for this research focuses on the design and construction of a database incorporating radiocarbon dates from cultural deposits across the Torres Strait archipelago (excluding mainland Cape York Peninsula and Papua New Guinea). Data are collected through a comprehensive review of published literature. Information collected includes metadata such as provenance, cultural associations, sample identification and stable isotopic data.
