The Fire Brigades Act was applied to the town of Toronto by notification in the Government Gazette of 22nd August, 1930 (1). Toronto Fire Station was erected in Carey Street and leased to the Board from 12 March 1931 (2). Toronto is station number 464 and in 2000 was located at 162 Brighton Avenue, Toronto (3).
