Full description
Tony Bouffler was interviewed on 4 November 2014 at his home in Orange. Tony’s father returned from service in PNG in WWII and bought a house at 104 Durham St, Bathurst from George Chew Ming, who was President of the Chinese Masonic Lodge. Next door was the Chinese Masonic Lodge and the Chinese residents there were on friendly terms with the Bouffler family. Tony was only a young child at the time, so his memory of the residents is limited, however he provided the Bathurst District Historical Society with photographs of the residents circa late 1940s -early 1950s. The Masonic Lodge was demolished in 1953.Notes
