Full description
Project summary: The aim of this industry initiated project is to characterise the genesis of base metal sulphide mineralisation in the area of the Tommy Creek Prospect. This mineralisation does not appear to exhibit many of the characteristics of typical Cu-Au deposits of the region, and understanding its origins will be key in determining the economic potential of the area. The Tommy Creek Domain also represents an under researched region of the Mount Isa Inlier with unique stratigraphy, young ages, and a complex magmatic and structural history.
Data description: Geochronology data i.e. processed U-Pb and trace element data from Zircon and Titanite, obtained via Laster Ablation ICPMS analysis.
The dataset consists of 2 MS Excel (.xlsx) workbooks containing information about the samples (1 data sheet) and the data (5 data sheets) presented as batches determined by the analysis and processing campaigns in which they were collected.
A detailed 'Zircon Analysis Report' (PDF) is also available and includes the full data methods and figures for:
- Tommy Creek LA-ICPMS Zircon Geochronology, June 2018
- Tommy Creek LA-ICPMS Titanite and Zircon Geochronology, Oct-Nov 2018
- Tommy Creek LA-ICPMS Zircon Geochronology, June 2019
- Tommy Creek LA-ICPMS Zircon Geochronology, August 2019
