Named after Thomas Macleod, pioneer of heavier-than-air flight in Queensland, the Thomas Macleod Queensland Aviation Collection is a collected archive of documents, photos and objects relating to the early aviation history of Queensland. A wide range of aviation endeavour is represented in the collection which contains a diversity of material. Archival material represents a range of Queensland aviators including Bert Hinkler, Lieutenants William Fraser and Val Rendle, Charles Lindsay Campbell and Group Captain Cedric Hill.
