Brief description
This data set contains data collected by Kelly Hannan of James Cook University in 2017 dealing with the effects of stable and increasing/decreasing elevated pCO2, on the physiological performance of Acanthochromis polyacanthus and Amblyglyphidodon curacao.
Full description
This data set contains physiological responses of two species of damselfishes from an experiment which investigated the effects of an 8hr exposure to stable and increasing/decreasing elevated pCO2 on damselfishes. The physiological metrics consisted of metabolic and haematological traits, metabolic traits were measured using a swimming respirometry system. The experiments were conducted at Marine and Aquaculture Research Facilities Unit at James Cook University. The experiments were conducted in July - October 2017.
The full methodology is available in the accompanying publication, "The effects of constant and fluctuating elevated pCO2 levels on oxygen uptake rates of coral reef fishes".
Notes
"NA" in the data indicates data not obtained.
This dataset is available as a spreadsheet saved in both MS Excel (.xlsx) and Open Document (.ods) formats.
