Full description

Fieldwork was undertaken on Voyage 1 (WASTE) of the 1996/1997 season aboard the Aurora Australis. The mesopelagic fish data were archived in the Australian Antarctic Data Centre's Biodiversity database, but have been extracted and attached to this metadata record.

The data are presented in a csv spreadsheet with the following column headings:

ObjectID (related to the biodiversity database)
Scientific Name
Observation Date/Time
Latitude
Longitude
Collector
Basis of record
Catalogue number
Individual count
Site code
Depth (metres)
Source
Observed weight (grams)

Lineage

Progress Code: completed
Statement: Values provided in temporal and spatial coverage are approximate only.

Data time period: 1996-08-22 to 1996-09-25
