Brief description

This dataset contains Points of Interest describing the spatial locations of sports and recreation facilities in Tasmania. Data is categorised into a main category (COM_TYPE1) and sub-category (COM_TYPE2). The main category Club includes the sub-categories: golf, bowls, football, equestrian, tennis, cricket, yacht and sailing, gun and rifle, croquet, soccer, rugby, rowing and other sporting. The main categories Ground includes the sub-categories: sportsground, park or reserve. The main category Sports Complex includes the sub categories: swimming pools, golf, squash, netball, hockey, indoor general, racecourses and other. Most features are attributed with a Property Identification Number (PID) which provides a link to other property attributes recorded in the Valuation Information System for Tasmania (VISTAS) property data base. This dataset has been extracted from Land Tasmania LIST data.
