Brief description Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease is an inflammatory disease the lungs which will be the 3rd most common cause of death in 2020. Treatment is expensive and inaccessible for many patients in developing countries. This study will look at the clinical effectiveness of two cheap drugs which, when used in combination, have been shown to act together to reduce the inflammation in this disorder. A positive outcome would revolutionise treatment in the developing world.
