Brief description
The Vaisala HMP45A collects Temperature and Relative Humidity data. Full details can be found in the instrument specification available from Vaisala. Temperature measurement range -39.2...+140 °F (-39.2...+60 °C) and accuracy at +68 °F (+20 °C) ±0.36 °F (±0.2 °C). Relative Humidity measuring range 0.8 to 100% RH and accuracy at +68 °F (+20 °C) (incl. nonlinearity and hysteresis) against factory references ±1% RH. The data collected by these instruments is transmitted by Campbell loggers over the 3G mobile network, to a Hydro Tasmania FTP server. The logger is powered by solar panels and a rechargeable battery. The logger is scanning every three seconds and the Averages, Maximums and Minimums and Totalized values are for the log interval which is ten minutes (ie. 600s / 3s = 200 readings in 10 minutes). Humidity is averaged and Evaporation, transpiration and evapotranspiration are calculated within the logger and reset at midnight each night. The data is subsequently retrieved from Hydro Tasmania via FTP and stored in a Postgres PostGIS database where it is made publicly available using a Sensor Observation Service that was created by 52 Degrees North. Recalibration of the instruments is carried out once a year by Hydro Tasmania personnel. Currently there is no automated Quality Assurance/Quality Correction process in place.Delivery method
