Brief description Despite the use of aggressive therapy, survival rates for neuroblastoma patients are poor, and survivors often experience long-term side effects from the treatment. Copper is essential for the growth of tumour cells. In fact, neuroblastoma cells have high levels of copper compare to normal cells. This project will bring new knowledge and fundamental understanding of the role of copper in neuroblastoma biology, as well as provide new therapeutic strategies for the treatment of this disease.
