The Sydney Vice Squad appears to have been established by mid 1945. (1)
By 1951, the squad dealt with the suppression of vice, but also investigated other major crimes, traffic offences, and minor offences. (2)
By mid 1968 the Squad appears to have been abolished. A Vice squad was subsequently formed within the Criminal Investigation Branch. (3)
