Brief description

Surveyors SPR Samuel Kelly and SPR Warwick Cox of the Australian Defence Force carried out a number of surveys at The Isthmus, Macquarie Island in March 2018.
The surveys were part of a field program by the Australian Antarctic Division's Antarctic Modernisation Taskforce to identify a location for a new station while identifying critical buildings and services that needed to be retained.
Features were surveyed in order to create a site plan of the The Isthmus. The focus was on the locations of buildings and services, and natural surface data for potential new constructions sites.

The final survey data is in 12daz, dwg and shapefile formats. The raw data is included in the dataset. There are also station plans as pdf.
Details about the surveys are given in a survey report.
