Taken from the report: A goal of the Australian Antarctic glaciology program is to reach an understanding of the characteristics and dynamics of the Antarctic ice mass including the inland ice sheet and its outlet glaciers, its development, mass budget and how it will react to a changing environment. The main areas of activity in the glaciology program at Casey are on the Law Dome to the East, along traverse routes to the South, East and West on the main Antarctic ice sheet and on the nearby outlet glaciers, the Vanderford Glacier in the South-West and the Totten Glacier in the South-East of the Law Dome. It is proposed to accurately survey the bedrock in the Dome summit region as preparatory work for future ice drilling. Ice thickness will be measured by ground based ice radar and contouring carried out by barometric heighting. The testing of a newly designed electro-mechanical drill will also be incorporated into this survey. A survey of Raised Beaches of the Windmill Islands is planned as well as a preliminary aerial survey of Marine Exposures near Jacks Donga.&rft.creator=BROLSMA, HENK &rft.date=2011&rft.coverage=northlimit=-66; southlimit=-67.5; westlimit=110; eastLimit=112; projection=WGS84&rft.coverage=northlimit=-66; southlimit=-67.5; westlimit=110; eastLimit=112; projection=WGS84&rft_rights=This data set conforms to the CCBY Attribution License (http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/). Brief description

Survey report by Wintering Tech. Officer for the Division of National Mapping. Duties of officer are to provide navigational and survey support to the glaciological program plus any engineering surveys required for the rebuilding program - this year at Casey. Traverses to Law Dome. Surveying ice movement. Includes Maps and tables. A survey of Raised Beaches of the Windmill Islands is planned as well as a preliminary aerial survey of Marine Exposures near Jacks Donga.
