PurposeRobinson Ridge is an important study location used to monitor vegetation health (AAS 2952) and soil biodiversity (AAS 4406). Nearby quadrats are used to monitor vegetation health as part of the State of the Environment Indicator 72: Windmill Islands terrestrial vegetation dynamics (Robinson, 2009). This location was installed to support scientific research at Robinson Ridge and nearby sites. If using differential GNSS/GPS, or conducting RTK photography/photogrammetry, this survey benchmark can be used for establishing the base station or as a ground control point.
