Site Description

Video footage captured by either vertical or horizontal cameras mounted at strategic beachside locations, the Shoreline Detection program processes the frames of the video file to produce timex images, which are then used for the calculation of the shoreline position over time. Once the shoreline has been found on the image, the program uses a set of surveyed points to map image co-ordinates to real world Northing / Easting values.
