[Cite as https://purl.org/au-research/grants/nhmrc/GNT1158500]Brief description In young people (<40 years), arthritis commonly occurs following knee reconstruction, forcing them to live with old knees and reducing their quality of life. Risk of arthritis and worse quality of life following knee reconstruction can be worse in those who also have meniscus/cartilage damage. We will determine whether supervised exercise and education can improve quality of life and prevent joint deterioration in 250 people with knee reconstruction for ligament and meniscus/cartilage damage.
