This data set contains Statistical Area Level 4 (SA4) information on all NSW Government schools, including schools that have received a status of ‘Not operational’ since 2010.

**Data Notes:**

* List includes schools that are currently open or haven't been operational since 2010. Status "Other" may refer to school who have gone through a merger/demerger process.
* Not Operational includes schools that:
- on that year had the last teacher withdrawn.
- have entered in recess, but may still reopen in the future.
* Year refers to the year the last teacher was withdrawn, not actual dates that the schools were gazetted as closed following Ministerial decisions.
* SA4 refers to the ABS Australian Statistical Geography Standard (ASGS) Edition 3 Statistical Area 4 (SA4) - 2021.
