Brief description

## **Abstract**

The dataset was derived by the Bioregional Assessment Programme. This dataset was derived from multiple datasets. You can find a link to the parent datasets in the Lineage Field in this metadata statement. The History Field in this metadata statement describes how this dataset was derived.

A historical sequence using multiple images for selected years was built to represent the changing mine foot prints for selected mines in the Sydney Basin Bioregion. The dataset includes images clipped to the spatial extent of the selected mines and band combinations of B3, B4 and B7 were used to identify the extent of disturbance around the mine sites in the selected years.

Mines for which footprints were derived from Landsat imagery:

Pine Dale

Invincible

## **Dataset History**

A historical sequence using multiple images for selected years was built to represent the changing mine foot prints for selected mines in the Sydney Basin Bioregion. Mine boundaries were digitised through interpretation of the disturbed land in the vicinity of known coal mines (see GUID:302e2a0d-244a-4369-9ed6-c529f14b4db8). Band combinations of B3, B4 and B7 were used to identify the extent of disturbance around the mine sites in the selected years.

Mines for which footprints were derived from Landsat imagery:

Pine Dale

Invincible
