Brief description
SRFME.nc is a set of maps of temperature, salinity, dissolved oxygen, nitrate, phosphate and silicate at 10 day intervals through the year, generated using Loess mapping from all available oceanographic data in the region. It covers the region 100 - 129.75E, 10 - 40S, on a 1/8 degree grid, and on 56 standard depth levels. The data was obtained from the World Ocean Atlas 98 and CSIRO Marine and NIWA archives. Fields of estimated mixed-layer depth are also provided.Lineage

Statement:
Source data was ship-based CTD and hydrology casts from the CSIRO Marine archives (1985-ongoing) and the NODC World Ocean Database 98 (WOD98), which was a collation of all possible casts from all countries, from earliest records (1990) to 2001. Casts were interpolated to 56 standard depths, "loess" mapped to 1/8 degree grid.
