Full description
Data from 2003-2012 on the at-sea foraging behaviour of Australian sea lions, New Zealand fur seals, and little penguins in the Spencer Gulf, South Australia.
Lineage
Maintenance and Update Frequency: unknown
Statement: Telemetry and achoval tag data are numerical. Crittercam data are video files.
Sample size: 40-50 Australian sea lions, 3 New Zealand fur seals, ~15 little penguins.
Temporal extent: Varies for species and sites (2003-2012).
Instruments used: ARGOS satellite transmitters (Platform transmitting Terminal), archival GPS tags, archival time-depth & temperature recorders (TDRs), SRDL CTD tags, National Geographic crittercam .CTD tags calbitaed by Valeport in UK.
Data processing and conversion steps: ARGOS data is processed through Kalman filtre, then through state-space models to filtre out eronous locations.
Points on a map will represent sample sites. Could include maps of tracks, time spent in area, images summarising diving behaviour.
