In-situ target strength data at 38 and 120kHz from acoustic system lowered slowly through the water column, stopping at 100 metre intervals for 5 minutes. 15 deployments in total, complemented by CTD, EK500 vertical acoustics, MIDOC net tows Collected on voyage SS 09/2004 of Southern Surveyor off the East Coast of Australia in and around the Lord Howe Rise, east of Brisbane, in September 2004.
