The weighted average of the solum depth values provided by McKenzie et al. (2000). Note that for PPFs without a B horizon the solum depth was taken as equal to the A horizon depth. Units are m. Derived from Western and McKenzie (2004). Solum refers to the surface and subsoil layers that have undergone the same soil forming conditions.
