References within the recording make clear it was recorded in the Dekuruna district (an old name for the Hoava district) of North New Georgia. It is recorded in Solomon Pijin. Possibly the cassette title was actually 'Kolombaghea', a locality within the Dekuruna district, rather than 'Kolombangara', an island to the west.
