Associate Professor in the Department of Economics University of Melbourne. Following the completion of her PhD (in November 1998), Prof Shield's research has focussed on (1) the econometric modelling of output and inflation concentrating in particular on the formation of expectations and the use of survey data, (2) the econometric analysis of the use of nation-wide, region-wide and industry-wide disaggregated data and the implications for economic policy, and (3) the modelling of East European financial markets. Prof Shield's joined the Department of Economics at The University of Melbourne as a lecturer in 2001; promoted to Senior Lecturer in January 2003 and Associate Professor in January, 2007.User Contributed Tags
