Researchers: Prof Tammy Hoffmann (Principal investigator)

Brief description People who have had a stroke are at increased risk of having another stroke. Secondary stroke prevention is a neglected area of post-stroke care and the uptake of research evidence is poor. Barriers to evidence integration can include problems with the evidence and difficulties at the health professional and/or consumer level. This research will seek to understand the barriers and develop strategies to reduce the gap between evidence and clinical practice in secondary stroke prevention.
