Full description
The Western Sydney University School of Law's research demonstrates a strong commitment to ensuring social justice, human rights and good governance in the local, national, regional, international and outer space spheres. Our Law researchers have carved out niche areas examining law's role in international trade and economic governance regimes; promoting environmental sustainability, ocean governance and climate change regulation; fostering human rights, responsive legal service delivery and indigenous sovereignty nationally and internationally; facilitating the legal regulation of outer space; and building an evidence-based legal pedagogy.
The Law School's research is interdisciplinary, critical, cross-jurisdictional and intra-national, and grounded on the unique aspects of jurisprudential research. Our common orientation is an awareness of the complex social, economic and political context in which the law takes place; our perspective is pragmatic and contextual.
