Sagittaria platyphylla Sagittaria An aquatic herbaceous plant rooted to the ground with stems and leaves emerging above the water surface. Its large elongated leaves (10-48 cm long and 2-10 cm wide) and borne on long three-sided stalks. Separate male and female flowers are borne in groups of three on the emergent flowering stems.
