Brief description
This record describes the Acoustic Doppler Current Profiler (ADCP) data collected from the Marine National Facility RV Investigator voyage IN2020_V06, titled: "Probing the Australian-Pacific Plate Boundary: Macquarie Ridge in 3-D." The voyage took place between October 8 and November 3, 2020, departing from Hobart (TAS) and returning to Hobart.Data were collected during in2020_v06 for most of the voyage but collection was stopped whenever it would have interfered with GSM mapping or OBS triangulation. The OS75 was turned off whilst in shallower water to prioritise mapping and the OS150. Data were collected using UHDAS and post-processed using CODAS.
Both the RDI Ocean Surveyor 150kHz ADCP and the RDI Ocean Surveyor 75kHz ADCP were run in narrowband.
Internal triggering was used.
The drop keel was at 2m below the waterline for the duration of the voyage.
See the voyage computing and electronics report for more details regarding data acquisition.
This dataset was processed (quality-controlled), and then archived by the CSIRO National Collections and Marine Infrastructure (NCMI) Information and Data Centre (IDC).
