Brief description

This record describes the BASTA radar and Radiosonde products by Protat et al. (2020) from observations made in the Northern Territory northwest region.

A shipborne 95 GHz Doppler cloud radar mounted on a stabilized platform was used to retrieve vertical profiles of three-dimensional (3D) winds by sequentially pointing the stabilized platform in different directions.

The resulting dataset consists of the processed BASTA 3D winds (the subject of the paper), and the radiosonde dataset, which is used for validation.
