Brief description
The 202324030 voyage was a combination of Science and Resupply passing in the vicinity of each of the Antarctic stations. The ship firstly headed to Casey station to pick up helicopters and helicopter pilots, then on to Davis to deploy the helicopters, pilots and personnel involved in the Larsemann Hill science project. From Davis the ship sailed to Mawson to complete the Mawson crew changeover, resupply and refuel. Following the Mawson resupply the ship conducted a whale mooring. The ship then returned to Davis to pick up returning expeditioners before sailing to her home port, Hobart/nipaluna. The Science projects completed were: * Transit seabed mapping * Larsemann Hills Project * Wet Well Southern Ocean Research Aquarium collection * Krill Instantaneous Growth Rate * eDNA * Underway Phytoplankton Filtration * Transit CPR (continous plankton recorder) ~450 nM per transit. * Ocean Sea Ice Atmospheric Observatory * Whale Mooring * MEEK Mooring * Shadwick Mooring * Seabed MooringLineage

PurposeThis is the collection of scientific data collected aboard RSV Nuyina during voyage 3 of the 2023-24 season, which had the operational purpose of resupplying and refueling Mawson station, changing over Mawson personnel and retrieving Davis summer personnelle. Science information collected throughout the voyage includes various meteorological measurements, ocean chemistry measurements, and positioning information. Multibeam acoustic data were also collected in transit and at specific locations; this data was supported by several XBT casts.
