This proposal will focus on defining how reactive oxygen species contribute to exercise-induced adaptive responses in muscle that promote metabolic health and prevent the age-related decline in muscle function. Our studies will shed light on mechanisms that help prevent disease in our increasingly sedentary and ageing populations.
