Brief description People who are overweight often have high blood pressure. This project aims to find out why. By showing that the kidneys, which control blood pressure, use fat as an important controller of their function, we may be able to work out ways to modify the relationship between obesity and high blood pressure. The project wil be performed in genetically modified mice, but we expect that the findings will be applicable to humans.
