Brief description Impairment of cell death (apoptosis) is a critical step in cancer development and limits responsiveness to therapy. This project will investigate the influence of several key apoptosis regulators on the development and treatment of acute myeloid leukaemia (AML), a devastating disease with poor prognosis, and explore whether new drugs known as BH3 mimetics can improve treatment.
