Full description
Roland Barthes was a French literary theorist, philosopher, semiotician and critic. He influenced the development of schools of theory, including structuralism, semiotics, existentialism, anthropology, social theory and post-structuralism. Barthes devised a way to analyse narratives and their shared structural features, and his writings have become an especially significant tool for academics studying film, literature and photography. The collection reflects these intellectual concerns.User Contributed Tags
