Blade tissue (~50 mg) was preserved in RNA stabilization buffer and stored at −20 °C prior to extraction. Total RNA was extracted, purified, and prepared for sequencing using the Illumina TruSeq RNA Library Prep Kit with poly(A) enrichment. Sequencing was performed by Macrogen Inc. (Seoul, South Korea) on an Illumina NovaSeq 6000, generating 150 bp paired-end reads.
